Private Tutoring

Tutoring specialists offer personalized support to students struggling in school, helping them improve in math, science, reading, and writing. Through targeted instruction, students and parents find relief as academic performance improves and confidence grows.

Orton-Gillingham tutors use a diagnostic, prescriptive, direct, and multi-sensory approach to improve students' phonemic awareness, encoding, and decoding skills while also addressing other areas of reading for overall success. Students build confidence and self-esteem with each lesson, making learning a positive and rewarding experience.

How long are the sessions?

  • Sessions are 45-60 minutes, generally twice a week, and can be conducted online or in person.

  • Scheduled sessions are agreed upon for each tutor and family at the beginning of the semester, but tutoring sessions can be started after the semester has begun.

  • Must sign up for a minimum of 6 sessions per contract.

Academic Coaching

The academic coaching program focuses on helping students reach their goals through a positive, encouraging, and supportive approach. Coaching empowers these students to navigate academic challenges by assisting them in developing organizing and planning skills, which are essential for staying on top of assignments and successfully managing their workload. We aim to create independent, hard-working, and successful students by instilling solid academic habits, executive functioning skills, and content knowledge. The personalized, one-on-one online coaching prepares students to thrive in school and beyond.

Each student’s journey is unique, so the coaches tailor their methods to fit individual needs. Students improve their executive function and adopt success-oriented behaviors by fostering consistency in habits and skills.

Sage’s academic coaches guide students toward long-term academic success through this comprehensive support.

Who could benefit from an Academic Coach?

Students who are open to trying new approaches, have lower self-esteem, struggle with core self-evaluations, or tend to set goals focused on avoiding failure are most likely to benefit from academic coaching. Academic coaching is particularly beneficial for students needing support processing information, improving executive functioning, and building the confidence to thrive in their educational journey.

Acting as a liaison between the family and the school, the ESC ensures that all deadlines are met, the paperwork is accurate, and the application process runs smoothly. They provide a high level of organization, attention to detail, and expert knowledge of school admission procedures, offering families peace of mind and a streamlined experience as they navigate the complexities of applying to schools.

Who could benefit from the services of an Enrollment Service Coordinator?

  1. Busy parents: Families with hectic schedules may need more time or capacity to manage the detailed school application process. The service of an Enrollment Service Coordinator will be able to streamline the experience by handling paperwork, deadlines, and documentation.

  2. Parents unfamiliar with the application process: Expert guidance can benefit families new to navigating complex school admissions, especially those applying to private, charter, or specialized schools.

What's included in the services?

  • Our services include a comprehensive application package that covers the completion and submission of up to four school applications. If you require assistance with additional applications, they can be added at an additional fee per application. Alternatively, if you opt out of the package, each application will be charged on an à la carte basis.
